Ten Point Pledge
11 November 2008
MP Phil Hope has invited all recruitment agencies to sign a Ten Point Pledge on "Fairness and Respect for agency workers" in Corby.
In addition he has invited all major businesses in Corby to sign a similar pledge stating they agree to only use recruitment agencies who have signed up to the new standards. The pledge follows similar standards contained within the Gangmasters License, which we have held for 3 years. However, as the contracts we service within the Corby area are not governed by the GLA, the pledge will enforce a degree of standardization for all agencies to follow and ensure that we are providing a legal, safe and fair working environment for the workers we engage.
With the commitment from major companies within the area, it will allow them to have a greater trust and confidence in the agencies they will be dealing with and in turn ensure that workers they have on their sites are being treated fairly.
This is an opportunity to reinforce the professionalism of RE Personnel and to provide added value to the clients who put their trust in us.
